Orioles Turn Back Chicago, 3-2
|
Baltimore and Chicago played a hard-fought contest.
Baltimore Orioles starter Chris Hafer hurled his team past the Chicago White Sox, 3-2. Miguel Castro got credit for the save for Baltimore. It was his 3rd of the year.
Baltimore relied on the hitting of Dave Schwabe to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Orioles on top, 2-1. For the game, Schwabe had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Schwabe attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
The Orioles, now 15-6, have been red hot.
