The Minnesota Twins topped the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-4, in American League action at Target Field. The standout performance belonged to Minnesota pitcher and Oostpunt, Curaçao, native Dean Schuurmans. Adrian Tipton collected his 3rd save. Toronto is 12-9 after the loss.

Minnesota took a 6-3 lead on Nate Carpenter's 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Carpenter hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Toronto pitcher Eric Burnham visibly frustrated.

"We take it day by day here," said Schuurmans, "and today was a good one for us."
