Chicago and Texas left the crowd in suspense until the last at-bat.

The Chicago White Sox picked up a win at U.S. Cellular Field, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 3-2, in 13 innings. Starting pitcher Felix Martinez played a key role in the triumph. The White Sox, now 16-6, have been sizzling early on.

Chicago got a knockout punch from Jorge Gonzalez. The center fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Chicago field general Bryce Reigns.
