Brad Thaler pitched well, but the Houston Astros still fell short, losing, 3-2, to the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Joe Duncan locked down his 5th save. Houston, with the loss, is still a robust 15-6.

Los Angeles took a 3-2 lead on Tyler Celeste's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Celeste hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Houston pitcher Brad Thaler visibly frustrated.

"We busted our tails," said Houston manager Zeb Currier. "But we came up short."
