Hardie Rips 2 Home Runs in 7-4 Brewers Triumph
|
The Milwaukee Brewers dumped the Cincinnati Reds, 7-4, in large part due to right fielder Joe Hardie. On the day, Hardie belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Brewers. Cincinnati is now 10-13.
Hardie contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Milwaukee in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-1, Hardie took a cutter from Dustin Guerin and stroked the home run to left. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Brewers to leap in front, 5-3.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Hardie, "and go after the next one."
