Brewers Earn Late 6-5 Win
|
Though he had a terrific game, Gerardo Machado could not prevent his team, the Cincinnati Reds, from absorbing a loss. Milwaukee won the game, 6-5. Machado was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 3 runs. Milwaukee is now 8-15.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Brian Taylor? The 35-year old first baseman Taylor stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Milwaukee up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 2, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Taylor said (again).
