The San Diego Padres had to reckon with Las Vegas Hustle hurler Jayson Andrews. Andrews overwhelmed the opposition in the 6-0 Hustle triumph. Andrews picked up the win for Las Vegas, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. It was the 20th win in 25 games this year for the defending champion Hustle, who are picking up where they left off.

Chris Strickland drove in one run for Las Vegas. The 2107 NL batting champion had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Jeremy Kowalewski. It was his 15th RBI of the season.
