Chicago Makes It 7 Straight with 4-2 Win
|
The Houston Astros got a superb performance from pitcher Jason Valenzuela, but the Chicago White Sox still won the game, 4-2. Valenzuela threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. After losing, Houston is 13-12.
Bryan Lupo's at-bat in the top of the seventh inning was a big one for Chicago. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 1st and 2nd and Chicago trailing 2-1, the first baseman hit a run-scoring single.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Chicago manager Bryce Reigns.
