Giants Make It 4 In a Row with 6-1 Triumph Over Toronto
|
Toronto had no answer for San Francisco Giants hurler Jesus Argona, who overwhelmed Blue Jays hitters as the Giants coasted to victory, 6-1. The Giants, now 19-6, have been sizzling early on.
San Francisco used a well-timed hit by Dave Melton to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Giants ahead, 5-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"I was able to get good plays made behind me," Argona said. "And I was able to make pitches when I needed to make pitches."
