The Cleveland Guardians tallied a win at Progressive Field, throttling the New York Yankees, 4-2. Starting pitcher Kenny Guerrero was a big reason for his team's success. With the win, Cleveland climbs to 15-12.

The Yankees had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Guardians going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old catcher Jordan Sandoval came to the plate. Sandoval hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch fastball from New York hurler Josh Thomas. It was Sandoval's 2nd home run of the year.

"We had a good game plan," Guerrero said, "and we were able to execute it."
