Blue Jays Stick Royals with 6-1 Loss
|
Dennis Desper was instrumental in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Kansas City Royals. The designated hitter went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Toronto Blue Jays. The win moves Toronto to a record of 18-10.
Desper had a key at-bat for Toronto early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Toronto an early 3-0 lead.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Desper told the Toronto Times. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
