Dodgers 1B Ruiz goes 3-for-3 in Win
The Los Angeles Dodgers took on the Cincinnati Reds at Dodger Park.

Gilberto Ruiz knocked in 3 runs to help Los Angeles beat Cincinnati, 8-3. The first baseman collected 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Billy Benedict picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-1. He struck out 9 in 5 innings.

Tom Crawford had a big 2-run triple for the Dodgers in the bottom of the second inning. With Los Angeles trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Jason Mele and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dodgers ahead, 2-1.

"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Los Angeles manager Giovanni Ciotti.

With the win, Los Angeles elevates its record to 14-13.
