Ray McNary, the 5th overall pick in the 2105 draft, led Seattle to a win over Texas. The final score was 8-4. McNary collected 2 RBI, while going 3 for 4 at the plate. The left fielder also scored 2 times. Tommy Houston earned the save for Seattle, his 2nd. The win leaves Seattle with a record of 12-16.

The Rangers had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Mariners going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old first baseman Nick Olheiser came to the plate. Olheiser hit a 2-run home run on a 1-2 fastball from Texas hurler Bill Robinson. It was Olheiser's 2nd home run of the year.

"Not the sexiest win," said Mariners manager Huckleberry O'Day, "but I'll take it."
