Pirates Get Dramatic 6-3 Triumph
|
Robby Reiter was a major contributor to the 6-3 Pittsburgh win over Atlanta. The Pirates third baseman hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. Willie Lopez picked up the win in relief for Pittsburgh, while Ryan Leese took the loss. The loss lowers the Atlanta record to 13-15.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Reiter hit a curveball from Ryan Leese for a 3-run home run. The Pirates, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"He who laughs last laughs best," Reiter said, postgame.
