Martinez hits 2 home runs to Ignite Pirates Offense
In a high-scoring game between Pittsburgh and Washington, first baseman Ernesto Martinez was a difference-maker. The 25-year-old helped Pittsburgh grab the 13-8 win. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. The win puts Pittsburgh at 20-8.

David Windsor had a big bases-clearing double for the Pirates in the top of the fourth inning. With Pittsburgh leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a circle change from 23-year old right-handed pitcher David Merchan and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pirates ahead, 5-1.

"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Martinez after the game.
