Jon Shaw of the Bats humbled hitters all season long and today celebrated as he hauled in the International League Pitcher of the Year trophy, the coveted Pitcher of the Year Award.

The Louisville hurler held opposing hitters to a .224 batting average while putting up a 15-7 record and a 2.93 earned run average. He started 28 games, pitched 203 innings and struck out 146.

He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 14. Heriberto Ibarra of the Norfolk Tides finished second in voting, while Daniel Rizzo of the Buffalo Bisons finished third.
