Wednesday, October 4th, 2056
The future looks extremely bright for Jim Smart. At the age of 23, many players are still trying to find their way in International League.

Smart has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the International League Most Valuable Player Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .372 this year, that's for sure," the right fielder said.

The Durham Bulls star also put up a .424 on-base percentage this year, with 198 hits, 41 doubles, 8 triples, 9 home runs, 72 RBIs and 88 runs scored.

He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 14. Kurt Downs of the Buffalo Bisons finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Dustin DeGrazio of the Scranton WB RailRiders finished third.
