Alvarado and Enriquez Fight, Get Suspended Thursday, July 27th , 2079 If there wasn't a history between David Alvarado of Salt Lake and Manny Enriquez of New Orleans, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Alvarado said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This year Alvarado is batting .222 with 7 home runs. He has scored 31 runs and driven in 35. On his stats sheet this season Enriquez shows a 8-7 record, 21 starts, 135 innings, 135 strikeouts and a 3.47 ERA. |
