AC Names Best Player Monday, June 16th, 2059 At the age of 28, Jon Torres might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Oklahoma City left fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .367 batting average. For his efforts Torres collected the American Conference Player of the Week Award. He racked up 11 hits in 30 at-bats, 5 home runs and 11 RBIs last week in 7 games. This season Torres has banged out 70 hits in 238 at-bats for a .294 average with 15 home runs. He is getting on base at a .367 pace and his totals also include 54 RBIs and 40 runs scored. |
