Rivera Hits in 25 Straight Games Tuesday, July 21st , 2071 Edgar Rivera, shortstop for the Sacramento River Cats, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 2 hits in his club's 11-2 victory today over the Las Vegas 51s at Raley Field today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends."
