Owry Claims SL Batter of the Month Award Saturday, June 1st , 2109 At only 24 years of age, Bill Owry could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Birmingham Barons, as May was one to remember for the third baseman and he has captured the Southern League Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .363 with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and 21 runs scored. For the year, Owry is batting .333 with 56 hits and 7 home runs. He has scored 34 times and driven in 26. |
