Hit Parade: Coulter Pops 5 Hits
Sunday, September 3rd, 2056
It takes more than one player to win a baseball game - as proven by Mike Coulter of the Mobile BayBears.
The Mobile center fielder gave it his all and dominated Tennessee Smokies pitching today at Hank Aaron Stadium, finishing with a great 5-for-5 line. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Smokies going home the winner, 6-5.
"There's no point gloating about a 5-hit day in a loss," Coulter said later. "A loss just means you should have done more. Maybe I should have hit 5 home runs instead."
Mike Coulter singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
A look at his current stats shows Coulter with a .236 average, 12 home runs, 43 RBIs and 73 runs scored. He has played in 129 games.
