SL's Premier Batter Picked Tuesday, July 1st , 2098 When Manuel Sanchez stepped up to the plate in June he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Southern League Batter of the Month award. The young Jackson right fielder posted a .356 batting average with 11 home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 24 runs. Sanchez also worked pitchers for 9 walks to post a .424 on-base percentage.
