Chattanooga's Covin Suspended
Sunday, June 22nd , 2110
For his part in an altercation with an umpire over a third strike, Chattanooga Lookouts right fielder Ethan Covin will have to sit out 3 games. The league commissioner's office today notified the Lookouts that Covin had been suspended for his poor conduct during the Generals game yesterday at AT&T Field.

After being ejected, Covin turned and walked toward the dugout, but then turned around, began yelling at the umpire and kicked dirt on home plate. The league said this type of behavior is not acceptable and will be dealt with according to league disciplinary policies.

For the year, Covin has hit .268 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 7 runs.
