Montgomery Southpaw Tosses 3-0 Shutout
Saturday, September 3rd , 2078
The Montgomery Biscuits did little to support starter Jesus Graybill against the Tennessee Smokies, but it turned out he didn't need the help.
The left-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Smokies, striking out 5 and surrendering 6 hits. The performance from Graybill allowed Montgomery to escape with the 3-0 win despite an anemic offense.
"Nobody came to me and said 'Jesus, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Graybill told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."
Thus far this season Graybill has posted a 5-2 record, started 9 games, struck out 32 batters in 68.2 innings and compiled a 2.10 ERA.
