Mobile-Jacksonville Brawl, Herrera and Tulak Suspended Tuesday, August 4th , 2111 After an intense confrontation, both the BayBears Jesus Herrera and the Suns Rich Tulak were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Mobile-Jacksonville game. Jesus Herrera will miss 3 games, while Rich Tulak was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Jesus Herrera commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." So far this year, Herrera has hit .254 with 8 home runs, 41 RBIs and 25 runs scored. This season, Tulak has been credited with 1 save in 10 relief appearances. In 24.1 innings he has a 0-2 won-lost mark, 5.55 ERA and 15 strikeouts |
