Griffin Collects Player of the Week Award Monday, August 25th , 2104 The Jackson Generals received word today that second baseman Rich Griffin was selected Southern League Player of the Week for his stellar performance in last week's games. Griffin took full advantage of all 25 plate appearances last week as he hit .455 with 10 hits, 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This season, Griffin has posted a batting average of .294 with 121 hits in 412 at-bats, 10 home runs and 63 RBIs. He has also scored 50 runs, walked 36 times and compiled a .352 OBP. |
