Jackson Tops Jacksonville Thursday, September 25th , 2110 This is the time of the baseball season when grown men are reduced to tears. This year, the Jackson Generals were shedding tears of joy and the Jacksonville Suns those of sorrow. The Generals topped the Suns today 6-1 at The Ballpark at Jackson and locked up their 5th Southern League Round 2 championship, winning the series 4-2. "To come this far and leave empty-handed is not easy," said Jacksonville manager Paul Austin.
