Lookouts End Coulter's Streak Saturday, July 15th, 2056 Mike Coulter, center fielder for the Mobile BayBears, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Chattanooga Lookouts today. Not only did the Lookouts break his 20-game hitting streak, they also beat Mobile by the score of 3-0. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Coulter said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." This year Coulter has batted at a .221 pace with 74 hits, 6 home runs, 24 RBIs and scored 43 times. |
