Garcia Crushes 3 Homers Against San Antonio Monday, July 31st , 2079 Some days you can't have it all, as Corpus Christi Hooks first baseman David Garcia discovered when he cracked three homers against the San Antonio Missions today, and still lost. "I have mixed emotions about this game," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but it's hard to be happy when you lose the game." The 31-year-old got his name in the league record books, but the Missions walked away with the 9-7 triumph at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. Garcia finished the day with 5 hits in 5 at-bats and 6 RBIs. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," he said in the postgame interview. David Garcia singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Felix Valladares in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off David Lugo in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off David Lugo in the 9th. Garcia is currently batting .349 with 8 home runs and 26 RBIs. |
