Kellen Rogers Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year Monday, August 28th , 2073 The doctors have spoken and Kellen Rogers of the Tulsa Drillers didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Rogers sustained his season-ending injury during the Springfield Cardinals game yesterday at ONEOK Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Tulsa medical staff reported Rogers had a stretched elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9-10 months. Up to now Rogers has compiled an ERA of 4.46 with a 2-5 mark over 13 starts. He has 53 strikeouts in 82.2 innings and has held opponents to a .245 batting average. |
