Frisco Takes Round 1 Sunday, September 12th, 2066 The Frisco RoughRiders "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Round 1 and eliminating the Corpus Christi Hooks, according to series MVP Gianni van Buren. "This is the big stage, we're off to the Round 2 and looking towards the Round 2," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine." Frisco won the final game 5-2, to wrap up the series 3-1. van Buren led his team to the series win by putting up a .385 average, with a .529 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Frisco RoughRiders don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Arkansas Travelers - Tulsa Drillers series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
