Pitcher of the Year Award Presented by TEX Monday, October 4th, 2066 The Corpus Christi Hooks have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Chris Cisek, this year's Texas League Pitcher of the Year Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Cisek compiled a 19-1 record in 29 starts, tallied 271 strikeouts in 217.1 innings and recorded a 2.32 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .210 batting average against him. He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Pedro Orona of the Frisco RoughRiders finished second in voting, while Danny Zepeda of the Corpus Christi Hooks finished third.
