Gage Smacks 5 Hits for Missions Friday, April 19th, 2058 Brian Gage exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. The San Antonio shortstop had a field day in the 14-7 triumph over the Springfield Cardinals, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Gage must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Brian Gage singled in the 1st, singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 7th and tripled in the 8th.
