CAL Awards Player of the Week Monday, August 2nd, 2049 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Matt Allen was rewarded with the California League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Rancho Cucamonga Quakes center fielder hit .500 while collecting 11 hits in 22 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 RBIs. This season Allen has hit 8 home runs and posted a .301 batting average. |
