Clark Strokes 5 Hits Monday, April 21st, 2059 The 5th time was not the charm for Ron Clark today. The center fielder for the San Jose Giants hit the milestone today at San Jose Municipal Stadium, but it was the Modesto Nuts that salvaged a 12-11 victory. Clark finished with a 5-for-6 line at the plate, and it still wasn't enough. "He was not an easy out, that's for sure," Modesto manager Jaren Shelby said to the press in the postgame interview. "I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win." Clark declined to speak to reporters at length following the game, saying only that "no loss is a good one." Ron Clark doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Geoff Goodrich in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
