Hit Streak Over, 66ers Stop Dreiling Sunday, April 27th, 2059 Modesto Nuts right fielder Bryan Dreiling finally met his Waterloo. A 21-game hitting spree is now history after Dreiling was unable to make anything happen in 3 at-bats today against the Inland Empire 66ers. Fortunately for Dreiling and the Nuts, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game 2-1. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 21 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." Dreiling on the season is hitting .446 with 6 home runs. His stats include 19 RBIs and 11 runs scored. |
