Mavericks Brian Jones Down and Out for Year Monday, May 19th, 2059 The season is apparently over for Brian Jones. The High Desert Mavericks medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 11-12 months with a stretched elbow ligament. Jones was hurt in the game against San Jose while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. This season to date Jones has a record of 3 wins and 3 losses with a 3.83 ERA, has appeared in 7 games and struck out 70 in 44.2 innings. |
