Plummer Stops Rancho Cucamonga
Thursday, September 21st, 2051
All went well for Paul Plummer of the Modesto Nuts as he pitched his team to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, limiting them to 8 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Plummer on the day.

"Paul's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Nuts manager Colin Moran. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."

In the contest, the Modesto right-hander rang up 5 and surrendered no walks.

"He didn't give us any second chances," said Quakes manager Clay Middleton. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."

In 27 starts this year Plummer has posted 12 wins while suffering 9 losses. He has pitched 162 innings, allowed 151 hits, struck out 150 and has a 3.94 ERA.
