Hits Galore: Downing Drills 5 Hits Tuesday, June 10th, 2059 Quakes shortstop Noah Downing had his way with Stockton pitching today at LoanMart Field and mauled them for 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Ports ruined his great day by toppling the Quakes, 10-9. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Stockton credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Downing did today," Ports skipper Noah Burrell said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Noah Downing singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 9th, singled in the 10th, struck out in the 12th and walked in the 13th.
