CAL's Top Player, Blondell of Lancaster Monday, August 24th , 2111 When it came to hitting the baseball, Alan Blondell had few peers in the California League this past week. The talented third baseman for Lancaster tagged opposing pitchers for a .500 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 11 hits in 22 at-bats, 3 homers, 6 runs scored and 10 RBIs. For the season, Blondell has produced 67 hits in 214 at-bats for a .313 average with 13 home runs and gotten on base at a .373 clip. |
