Week's Best Player: Lancaster's Helms Monday, September 1st , 2098 A hot-hitting week got Marc Helms the California League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The Lancaster right fielder slammed them for a .609 average, 14 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 10 runs. In the postgame press conference, Helms shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that." In 2098 Helms has hit at a .303 clip with 128 hits, 13 home runs, 77 RBIs and has scored 56 times. |
