Ed Anstey Winner in August Monday, September 1st , 2098 When Ed Anstey stepped up to the plate in August he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the California League Batter of the Month award. The young San Jose left fielder posted a .400 batting average with 8 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 19 runs. Anstey also worked pitchers for 12 walks to post a .446 on-base percentage. So far this year Anstey is batting .326 with 25 home runs. |
