Foley Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Tuesday, September 2nd , 2098 Rancho Cucamonga shortstop Gene Foley could do no wrong in today's 7-6 win over the JetHawks as he collected 5 hits. "Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," JetHawks skipper Francis Prettitore said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts." Foley agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game. "Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Gene Foley singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Ben Montgomery in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Andrew Thompson in the 10th.
