CAL Pitcher of the Year Award Goes to Cranford

Jason Cranford of the San Jose Giants had a fine season and has been rewarded with the California League Pitcher of the Year Award for 2110.

The Giants ace fashioned an ERA of 1.99 as he won 10 games, dropped 6, fanned 206 and gave up 34 walks in 154 innings of work.

He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Nelson Escobedo of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes finished second in voting, while John Calvert of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes finished third.
