Season-Ending Injury for Jim Jernigan
Friday, August 9th, 2058
When San Jose starting pitcher Jim Jernigan was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Giants-Ports game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Jernigan had sustained a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and will be out for about 13 months.

His record this year is 1-4 in 11 starts and Jernigan has a 4.09 ERA.
