Rancho Cucamonga-Inland Empire Fight Results in Suspensions Monday, June 17th , 2080 Yesterday at LoanMart Field Mike Tenorio and Brad Rigsby got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and Inland Empire 66ers. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Tenorio will have to sit out 4 while Rigsby would be given a 8-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. So far this year Tenorio has no home runs and a .240 batting average. In 6 starts this season Rigsby has registered a 1-1 record and a 3.96 ERA. |
