Storm Pearson Smacks 5 Hits Sunday, April 25th , 2094 No matter what the San Jose Giants threw at him today, Mark Pearson hit it. He easily handled Giants pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Storm to a 9-1 triumph at Lake Elsinore Diamond. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Pearson's quip, Giants skipper Matt Bent said he "would take him up on that next time." Mark Pearson doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jose Marquez in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
