Blue Jays Take It on Chin, Lose, 12-0, to Lakeland Wednesday, June 1st, 2061 The Lakeland Flying Tigers shut out the Dunedin Blue Jays 12-0 today behind the strong pitching of Rich Rendon. Rendon surrendered only 3 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 7. Following the last out, Rendon appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Dunedin manager Jose Gomez, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Rendon's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart. The Blue Jays skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Flying Tigers press conference, Rendon confirmed that it was regarding the celebration. "He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Rendon said. "And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Lakeland manager Ruben Solano added.
