Meyer Spins Shutout Against Dayton
Friday, July 25th, 2053
Robbie Meyer was in a mood to talk following the Quad Cities River Bandits contest against the Dayton Dragons, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Dragons, 6-0.

"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Meyer said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."

The right-hander blanked Dayton on a 2-hitter, allowing 1 walk and racking up 11 strikeouts.

So far this year Meyer has no saves in no relief appearances with a 3-1 record and 1.51 ERA.
