Round 2 to Lake County Saturday, September 23rd , 2079 The Lake County Captains pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the Round 2 in a hard-fought series with the Quad Cities River Bandits. It was a seesaw affair, but with a 4-1 victory at Modern Woodmen Park, Lake County lay claim to the franchise's 1st championship. "There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Mario Escobar. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today."
